Record Attendance at 2014 Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party

The 2014 Portland International Auto Show officially opened its doors at the annual Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party to record attendance. All proceeds benefited four local charities including Boys and Girls Club of Portland, JDRF, Meals on Wheels People of Portland and Providence Portland Medical Foundation.

Sneak Peek attendees were treated to Portland’s finest food and wines as well as live performances American Young and Grammy nominated musician Jack Ingram. Along with food and entertainment, Sneak Peek guests were able to enjoy an up close look at over 500 vehicles on display including new vehicles such as the 2015 Ford Mustang, 2015 Chrysler 200 and a wide variety of luxury and exotic vehicles.

Scion SEMA FR-S Showcars Roll into the Portland Auto Show

Adding even more excitement to the custom vehicles on display at the 2014 Portland International Auto Show, Scion delivers with two SEMA FR-S showcars. The first is a one-of-a-kind chop top FR-S by Cartel Customs. With clean lines and an incredible attention to detail, Jeremy Lookofsky and the Cartel team redefine tuning with this SEMA build.

The second FR-S was included in the SEMA Scion Tuner Challenge and showcases the FR-S’ racing potential. A widebody conversion and carbon fiber accents deliver a menacing exterior while the interior has been lightened by removing stock components. Owned by Daniel Song and designed by Jon Sibal, this FR-S as well as the Cartel FR-S are located near the Forum Car Challenge vehicles at the South end of the main hall.

Lexus Project GS by Five Axis Brings Innovation to Portland Auto Show

The 2014 Portland International Auto Show will feature a variety of exotic and luxury vehicles including the Lexus Project GS by Five Axis. One of the automotive industries leading concept and design studios, Five Axis designed a complete wide body aero kit for the GS along with custom front and rear bumpers. The exterior is completed with 20″ FIVE:AD S5:F wheels and an Air Runner suspension.

The interior features a complete Pioneer sound system along with custom materials for the seats and door panels. Be sure to see this unique show vehicle for the first time in Portland in the Lexus booth inside the Portland Ballroom Luxury Loft. For more information on Five Axis please click here.

EV Tourism Comes to the 2014 Portland Auto Show

The West Coast Electric Highway, an extensive network of over 100 publicly-accessible EV fast-charging stations throughout the state of Oregon and Washington spaced every 30-60 miles is bringing its message to the 2014 Portland International Auto Show!

This unique section of the United States Interstate Highway system is unlike any other in the country. Tying together 43 ODOT AeroVironment fast chargers in Oregon alone, these combine the wonderful scenic viewpoints along the Columbia River Gorge, the entire Oregon Coastline, the Cascades, Mt. Hood, Willamette Valley and beyond giving electric vehicle drives the ability to see all the Pacific Northwest has to offer without the worry of range anxiety.

There is Still Time to go to the Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party

While you can no longer purchase tickets to the 2014 Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party at the 2014 Portland Auto Show online, tickets are still available. Tickets can be purchased tonight at the will call window at the MLK entrance.

100% of each $100 ticket sale is donated to one of the following four charities, Boys & Girls Club of Portland, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Meals on Wheels People and the Providence Portland Medical Foundation. In supporting the 2014 Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party you are eligible for a first look at the 2014 Portland International Auto Show without the crowds and you can enjoy local cuisine from Executive Chef Allan Wambaa along with your favorite beverages and entertainment.

Portland Thunder QB Darron Thomas to Appear at 2014 Portland Auto Show

Darron Thomas, former Oregon Ducks quarterback and current quarterback for the Portland Thunder Arena Football League Team, will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans Sunday February 9th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Kia Soul YouTube SEMA Vehicle shows off at 2014 Portland Auto Show

From SEMA to the 2014 Portland International Auto Show the Kia 2014 YouTube Soul is a one of a kind video recording booth and multi-screen YouTube player.

The car was designed and customized by Lux Motorwerks under the direction of Harris Publications and RIDES Magazine and features a YouTube paint scheme combining matte white and red, including red accents and logos of the popular video sharing website.

Key customization elements include a wireless keyboard embedded in the rear center armrest, a webcam for high-definition video recording, 10 WiFi-enabled iPad Minis in the rear cargo area and a Mac Mini with high-speed WiFi Hot Spot for instant uploads and streaming.
