The ECO Center
A greener tomorrow is here. In its second year as one of the largest Eco Centers in the nation you’ll find information about the green highway from the Oregon Department of Energy, the latest technology in charging stations, solar power and a large range of electric and electric hybrids and alternative fuel vehicles. New to the ECO Center this year will be the addition of electrical contractors to help you plan your charging station installation at your home or business.
The Great Outdoors
Get ready for your next outdoor adventure by seeing your favorite vehicles outfitted with the best in gear for mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, river rafting, paddle boarding, hunting, fishing and off roading from companies like Next Adventure and Rack Attack. Learn how to fly fish with Garry Loomis founder of G-Loomi, plan your next guided outdoor event with Blaze Outdoor Adventures and meet Grant McOmie from KGW and the guys from Outdoor GPS. Also don’t forget to enter for daily trip giveaways a rack system from Rack Attack and an outdoor prize package from Next Adventure.
The Healthy Life Garage
A great attendee favorite from last year the Healthy Life Garage is returning with new features to guide you in the journey on becoming healthier with free preventive maintenance check-up for yourself, courtesy of PacificSource Health Plans. To thank you for your participation in thinking Healthy enjoy complimentary food tasting from Daves Killer Bread and complete your day with a free wine tasting from local NW Wineries and relax in full body Aqua massage. Let's face it the real fun is when the rubber hits the road! Experience this first hand with the NW’s first INDOOR Camp Jeep Ride and Drive event that includes Kids Jeep Ride and Drive and a Climbing wall for those adventure types. Additional firsts are the Toyota Ride and Drive featuring the 2012 Camry, Subaru with the 2012 Impreza, General Motors with the first ever ELECTRIC CAR Ride and Drive with the Chevrolet Volt and Scion with the new I/Q Ride and Drive in the NEW PAVILION across the street from the Convention Center and to complete the ensemble Kia is bringing a full line up for their Ride and Drive
Kid Zones and Family Day
The Portland Auto Show is incredibly fun family entertainment. From Radio Disney's fun play zone, to face painting, the shriners clowns, remote control test drives, kids will have more fun beyond pushing the buttons in the latest trucks and autos. New this year the Camp Jeep exhibit has a Kids Course so they can take their own test drives in the Power Wheels Jeeps. No matter what size family, there's no better way to spend a January Portland day.
