The Portland Auto Show is extremely excited to announce that Jack Ingram as well as American Young will perform at the 2014 Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party. Both acts bring a country flavor to the event, which has set to raise funds for local charities.
Jack Ingram, named “Best New Male Vocalist” by the Academy of Country Music in 2008, is the Texas born-and-bred successor to the likes of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings, yet with a sound that is all his own that was cultivated by years of playing road houses, theaters and stadiums since 1997. Now Ingram remains in the forefront of country music with the new album “Big Dreams & High Hopes.” Sneak Peek organizers are thrilled to have Ingram at the event.
“Oregon and Texas may not have a lot in common on the surface,” said Greg Remensperger, executive director of the Portland Auto Show, who is organizing the Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party. “But we are both fiercely independent in spirit, so I think that Jack’s music will resonate well with our audience.”
The other act, American Young, is according to the duo, more than a name. It’s a movement; a passion for music and more importantly, its meaning. The duo is made up of Jon Stone and Kristy Osmunson, both veterans of the Nashville music scene who understand how music can inherently affect emotion and even culture.
The Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party will be held on February 5, 2014 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Providence Portland Medical Foundation, Meals on Wheels People, Boys and Girls Club and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation are the designated charity beneficiaries.
Party-goers will be hosted to a lively, fun-filled evening, featuring Opening Ceremonies, entertainment by Ingram and American Young, gourmet hors d’oeuvres and beverages. The highlight, of course, is being surrounded by the most beautiful automobiles in the world.
