Official Golf Putting Contest Rules

Participants are eligible to receive prizes if the conditions of the prize-winning event comply with the official rules.

  1. CONTEST PERIOD: January 26th, 2012 to January 29th, 2012
  2. SPONSOR: NW Honda Dealers/ MPNCDA
  3. USGA Rules of Golf apply.
  4. One finalists will be randomly selected by sponsor from entries
  5. Only one (1) putt attempt is permitted.
  6. The finalist will not be permitted any practice, warm-up, or qualifying putts. Failure or disregard of any of the above shall disqualify the finalist and no prize will be awarded.
  7. The finalist will attempt to successfully putt a regulation golf ball into a regulation size hole.
  8. The distance of the putt may not be less than: __50__ feet.
  9. No blocking or grooving of the target path will be permitted.
  10. If the golf ball falls completely into the regulation hole, the putt will be considered successful. If the putt is not successful, no Grand Prize will be awarded.
  11. Any attempted putt where the ball leaves the playing surface will be counted as an unsuccessful attempt.
  12. The Grand Prize is $50,000 cash.
  13. The following classes of people are ineligible to participate:
    1. Current or former touring or club professionals;
    2. Current varsity collegiate golf players; and
    3. Current or former professionals, or current or former members, of the Professional Putter’s Association
  14. This is a skill based promotion. Odds of winning depend on the skill of the contestants. In the event of a winner, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release must he signed by the claimed winner and submitted to NW Honda Dealers/ MPNCDA.
  15. A winner, if any, is responsible for paying any and all taxes associated with their prize money.
